Regrowing Hair Naturally

Hair loss is a very common problem faced by most people. Girls and women especially, are very depressed about this situation as their beauty depends a lot on their hair styles. Hair loss is caused by factors like:

 1) Excessive use of chemicals on the scalp (shampoo, conditioner, dyes etc)
 2) Dandruff
 3) Constant stress and worry
 4) Nutrient deficiency
 5) Hereditary factors

Hereditary factors may be the most difficult to deal with but one can reduce effect of hair fall from an early stage. Many of our hair roots are still alive and it is still possible to regrow hair from them. Some tips that are simple to integrate in our day to day lives for this purpose are: Avoid dandruff by making sure that the daily intake of water is adequate. Also, gently rub mustard oil on the scalp at night for 7 consecutive days. Wash your hair every day in the morning for practical reasons before starting your daily activities. According to Baba Ramdev, mustard oil is the best oil for hair. In the absence of it however, you can use coconut oil, olive oil or Divya Kesh Taila. Yoga and pranaayaam (breathing exercises) when practised regularly help in stopping hair fall and promoting hair growth. Kapalbhati pranayaam and anulom vilom are especially very useful in these cases. Pranaayaam should be practised on empty stomach either in the morning or in the evening (at least 4 hours after lunch). Breathing exercises also help you regulate the hormones in your body. These hormones are responsible for growth and synthesis of a lot of proteins. Pranaayaam also increases the flow of blood to your scalp. This rejuvenates the cells in your scalp. After the period of 7 days of applying oil, you may rub garlic on your scalp. Garlic is capable of stimulating the blood circulation and also contains all the nutrients that hair follicles need with strong penetrative powers. Every day do some head massage. Head massage is not like scratching the head but you should put your fingers gently but firmly on the scalp and start moving the scalp in mini-circles. Do not move your fingers but you should feel the skin on your scalp moving. Do this for a few seconds in each spot until you are done with the whole head. Do this exercise for 5 mins everyday in the morning and at night. This improves blood circulation in your scalp and promotes hair growth. Rub your fingernails together. Women please do not rub thumbs together else you will start to grow beard and moustache. Do this as a rapid movement for 5 mins in the morning and 5 mins in the evening. After you do this exercise, you should feel a vibration in your hands. This technique suggested by yogis in fact stimulates nerve pathways to the hair. Do it preferably when you are alone as experience has taught me that it often irritates other people.
